Sephardic History from Seattle

My Nona and Papu

My sister sent me a couple of articles the other day and it stirred many pleasant memories.  I new this woman mentioned in the articles very well as a child.  She was part of the extended family as my Nona, my mother’s mom was a first cousin to her husband Jack (Jacob) Azose.  Louise Kadoun Azose was full of energy, humor, fun, and love.  She had electric red hair,  a throaty voice, and like to dance.  The generation that made the trip from Turkey or Rhodes to the United States back in the early 1900’s were incredible people that are  to be cherished and remembered.  See the article at the website of Issac Azose [1] and more at Weaving Women’s Words [2]
